Oh Lord, Black People LOVE to piggyback on what someone else said.
I’m a HBCU grad (HU! Bison!) and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say ” Let me piggyback on what he/she just said…” when in class or a group discussion. I hate it when one point is reiterated over and over…as if the point changes because the speaker put their “spin” on it. Just state your point. If I’m in the room, I heard what he/she said. You don’t need to give them credit for coming up with the hypothesis for which you base your brilliant point.
Just some side notes:
Black people will piggyback on your dreams: Your boy got a record deal and now he needs to put you on.
Hilary tried to piggyback on Barack for the VP nom…lol
The government is piggybacking on my paycheck: I pay taxes but will there be any social security money left for me??
and
You should lock down your wireless router so people don’t piggyback internet access off ya.

Man…I hate that so much. Usually it is people who try to sound intelligent by rewording what someone previously said. This made my list along with “at the end of the day.”

Lol. I remember at a baseball game, my friend (who knew a lot about baseball…for a girl anyway) was telling me these trivia bits. A few minutes later after each thing she said I could hear this brother sitting behind me say the exact same things to impress his girlfriend to make it look like he knew something about sports. My friend and I just smiled at each other. I think that’s even worse than piggy-backing because he didn’t even bother to reword it.

Aw man. I was gonna tell about the time when I was at a baseball game and feeding this girl all these baseball tidbits from some girl a row in front of me. If that was you and your friend then thanks for all the info. I can’t remember the outcome of the game but my team scored.
Lemmie just piggy back on my own comments by saying that I love to hear the sound of my own voice. And if I can borrow your words and make them sound better I will.
Cheers.
